What the Wind Blew In...

Earlier today it was beatiful weather. At noon i looked outside and I saw hundreds of tumbleweeds blowing through the open field across the street. And now, I realize why we should finish the sides of our fence!
My second time ever in Colorado, was when Amber, Karen and I took a trip to do some job hunting. On the way home through eastern Colorado, I remember counting how many tumbleweeds we hit (with my parent's car):) It was over a hundred. I don't remember seeing anything like that in Iowa. All I can say is...John will have fun cleaning up our landscaping when he gets home from work.
And...a quick preview of a blog coming soon...

Spring Break Movie Marathon

So I technically have only been on spring break for a day and a half…but already I have taken full advantage of the ability to “veg”. On Saturday it was rainy all day (and John was working out in the rain and snow at his parents) so I successfully watched almost all of the following movies: Maid in Manhattan, Never Been Kissed, My Best Friends Wedding, The Devil Wears Prada, Love and Basketball, The Wedding Planner, and I think there was one more. Note: I did clean for 5 of those hours.
Today, I am planning to watch You, Me and Dupree, and The Break Up. Last week I saw The Holiday, which I would recommend! .
Hopefully after today, I will have my fill of Chick Flicks, and I will be able to get a lot more work done.
Until then…give yourself a healthy dose of unrealistic romance…and take in a “romantic comedy” today

Mighty Fighing Rainbow Trout

The Mighty Fighting Rainbow Trout is the name of the Dodgeball team John is on. It is a bunch of guys from Fellowship church. They play on Friday nights, and it is hilarious. I was so excited this past week because they were missing some players and they let me play on their team.

It really has been a baby week. I went to 3 baby showers, found out a close friend is pregnant, and talked to my friends and sister that have recently had babies.
When Lori had Caleb, I told John "I want a baby...there so cute" He responded lovingly, "do you really want a baby because there cute?" Good point. Don't get me wrong. John is going to be great with kids. Just today in church one of the girls that is about 2 said "Hi John" as he walked by. Even her parents were amazed. I guess we just want to be at the right point in our lives before we have kids. Right now it sure is fun living vicariously through other people's kids. When they cry I can hand them back:)

Raking the Lawn

You'd think that you wouldn't need to rake the lawn in March. Not true. After the snow stays on the ground for so long, it pushes down the grass and apparently it is good to use a rake to fluff it up again. Because it finally got to 40 degrees, I put on my working shoes and took the rake out back.
In other news...one of the T.V. stations in the area announced a contest where you take a picture of how you look in the morning and send it in, and the winner gets a prize. John and I both think that he could win because of his crazy hair and blue eyes. We took some photos this morning as possible entries. Needless to say, I still am against the beard.

And, If you hadn't heard...last weekend I spotted John Lynch, Safety for the Denver Broncos, at a resturant we were eating at. I am proud to be a Broncos fan, and even prouder that I recognized a football player in regular clothes before my husband or his dad did:)
