silly kids...

My 1st grade technology students had some extra time after our last project, so I gave them a bit of time to draw in paint. Then they practiced saving things in the correct location, and I had them come up with a name for thier picture and save it. When I was putting another project in thier folders, I realized that some of them were pretty funny...mostly because of they way they spelled things.
May I present...1st GRADE PAINT DRAWINGS!

A weekend of TERMINATOR

John and I watched part of Terminator III on TV last week, but I didn't really understand the story. Today he pulled out his very own VHS copy of Terminator (I). We watched it and I actually enjoyed the story. So about an hour later we took a trip to Greeley and rented Terminator II. This one was a little scarier, but it was fun to watch Arnold be the "good guy".
We did do other things besides watch movies all day. We got shakes at McDonalds:) I included picts of our friend Kathryn with John, and me on the phone.

Winter boredom

WHEN THE WEATHER GETS COLD OUTSIDE....

1. Join workout club for some intense circut training and "dodge ball" Friday.

2. Make some tasty favorites for supper. I suggest tater-tot caserole and chocolate pie.

3. Reminise about college years over the phone with friends. (Is there a buffalo in your cornflakes, Karen?)

4. Take a hot bath.

5. Scrapbook about things that remind you of summer.

6. Watch numerous Seinfeld episodes until you have them memorized.

7. Scrapbook digitally and use bright colors to make you happy!

8. Create you own "American Gladiators" course in your house using soft balls and nerf guns! (ok, so I didn't actually do this one, but everytime there was a snow day in high school we did:))

9. Turn on one of the most annoying songs of all time, and sing at the top of your lungs. (See a list)

10. Go to bed early!

RODEO!

John and I enjoyed the National Western Stock Show with his parents, his Grandfather, Chad, and some other family friends this weekend,.
Here is cowboy Angie and cowboy Chad:)

We got to see bucking broncos, calf roping, doubles calf roping, Westerners (girls maneuvering on horses), barell-racing, bull riding and other stuff I can't remember.
We had awesome seats, but my pictures didn't turn out so well.
Draft horses.

Bull riding pictures.

Chad got a cool video, so that should be on his blog soon. See "chad" on side links.

John also enjoyed spending time with his Grandfather at the rodeo.

Good times! Thanks to Jack and Cherry!

Shaler Christmas

We had a great time hanging out with the Shalers this Christmas too.
John's mom makes amazing salads, and his sister is full of energy (even with 2 kids).
John and the family took J.T. sleding in a nearby park a couple of times over the weekend.

Hopefully you already saw the bowling video from the set we got J.T.

After that night, it started snowing, so John had to head back up to northern colorado to plow snow. He stayed very busy, so I hung out in Littleton for 2 days with the family (without John). J.T. and I played a lot. Since he is almost 2 and from Georgia, he loved to go up to the window and say "sno" (meaning "snow").

It snowed quite a bit in littleton too. This was before we got about 2-3 more inches.

I used the time to play with kids, and look through cake decorating books. Cherry got rid of her cake decorating stuff, and Davina and I had a blast getting lots of fun stuff to decorate for years to come.

I am working on some scrapbooking pages that I want to post, but I want to finish a pair first. I'll save that for next time.
