Spring Break (continued)

So...as I mentioned before I had a great time in Lincoln with my sister, my mom, and Caleb. I'm not in much of a writing mood today, so I will mostly use pictures. Caleb and I had a blast playing with toys.

Lori and Mom and I had fun shopping. We even bought Caleb some cute shoes.

Whenver Caleb got upset, Grandma would sing "This little light of mine" and he would be giggling again.

We also gave Caleb a haircut.
Lori and Kyle and I played lots of games of Settlers of Catan.
Lori and I went to the YMCA and played VB and worked out.
We wondered around outside a bunch.
Outside was so fun Caleb refused to stop for a picture with me:)

Caleb adored shutting the door in my face, and opening it back up again!

Thanks for a fun time guys! Now I hope I am ready for the last 2 months of school:)

Spring Break 2008

Spring Break 2008 is a breath of fresh air. I returned home from Lincoln on Wed. and am happy to be "getting stuff done". I miss my family already. I will talk in more detail about my trip later, but I just finished this scrapbooking page of Caleb's first easter egg hunt. Fun times!

Old School Toys!

First...Happy St. Patricks day! I bought this awesomely bright boa at the dollar store, and found these cool glasses in my "dress-up-box". And...John and I went down to visit his parents on Sunday. They hauled out some awesome toys from his childhood that they wanted to get rid of. One of them was Tyco Racing Bandits (a slot track racing game). It didn't really work when we set it up at thier house. Then John used his Dremel tool and got it all spiffed up. It still has a few issues (it's like 18 years old) but it is sooo fun!

The wall outside my classroom...

As I walked by the wall outside my classroom...I realized the stuff hanging on my wall had been there for a few months.
I had no new student work to hang outside my classroom, so I looked online for technology bulletin boards. I could only find super cheesy ones. Don't get me wrong, I like kinda cheesy...but I was going for something more classy.
I came up with "Technology Rocks" of the top of my head, and then came up with a scene that included river rocks with parts of technology on them. I also printed out characters from the stories the kindergartners and I read on www.starfall.com. The stories are really cute, and they help with phonics. I haven't finished adding details, but I'm happy with it for now.

In other news, I have had some time to watch TV online. "Eli Stone" on ABC is one of my favorite shows. If you haven't seen it, check it out. I also watched the latest episode of "Oprah's big give". I was very skeptical when I started watching, but I found it rather interesting. Especially the episode where they are in Denver and one of the guys goes up to Greeley. The TGIFriday's that they are at in the show is just down the road from our church. Too bad the guy got sent home for giving the manager the car. (sorry to ruin it for you).
Have a Great Weekend!

Workout Mania

Man am I sore today.
After 2 hours of volleyball Monday night,
2 hours of volleyball Tuesday night,
An intense hour of workout club today (Wed.) –(including 275 squats, 250 sit-ups, 50 pushups and a bunch of running in under 20 min.)
I am sore!
It feels good to workout, and I enjoy it most of the time, but the exhausting feeling afterwards is taking its toll.
I think tomorrow I’ll go shopping. Then my only workout will be walking around looking for sale racks and cheap stuff.

Rec League

John came to a rec league VB game the other night. He brought our newly aquired camera to test it out from the back of the bleachers. Considering he was shooting through the hockey glass, It looks pretty good! I am wearing a red shirt in the pictures.

I finally got the video to work. It isn't that exciting...I peiced a few clips together. Whatever.

Crazy weather

So yesterday I was walking outside in Capri's and a tank top enjoying the beautiful weather on March 1. The high temp here was a record of 74. Beautiful!
This morning (March 2) I woke up and there was at least an inch of snow on the ground. I scraped my car and went to church where is was windy and 32 degrees.
A harsh reality that it is not spring yet! Hopefully we get more of that beautiful weather soon.
